coldest day here yet! heading out to do chicken chores and haul in some wood for the stove, glad I stacked it yesterday when it was 50. Happy day everyone.

It appears global cooling is in effect here in Duluth. Contrary to popular opinion, it is not warmer by the lake.

Brr it is cold out there . Bottomed out at 14 and 18 now . Got a 3 pm GP doctor visit . Just routine pre surgey . 2 more visits next week . Not doing Black Friday .

So yesterday I split a 12 pond turkey lengthwise . Cooked one half . Just right for 2 people . 2 meals yesterday and enough for 1 meal today .

Yesterday I roasted one of the cockerels, turned out great. 4.5 #. Dog and cats got to eat some too.

Yes same temperature here, 50s in a week. I have a couple cockerels I might do in then.

I haven't done Black Friday since my mother passed. Ever since I was a teen I had to drive her to that hellhole of shopping. Dad didn't want any part of that, smart man.
I cooked thighs and drumsticks yesterday. Yummy
