That actually was the wrong picture that I put in somehow, sorry. Or that was just to say they had equal whiteness. This is the one I think I see red skin... could be lighting, a bully, weird feather phase, or what have you, but you said you will keep an eye out. I would circle it and all but I'm lacking that computer skill still... It's the bird in front. Near the back of his wing just below his tail but above the legs.

You can always count on TSC for good mystery! Can't wait to see how they grow out.

ETA: I notice I called it HIM... we presume all guilty until proven female.

Would be interesting if they turn out to be cuckoo marans. They get confused with barred rocks almost as much as dominiques, maybe more since they have the same comb type.

I see the redness under the tail. Maybe they are pecking at it, or some skin problem.

I've checked it and she seems fine. Not overly red. It's right where her vent is that your seeing in the picture. Just a little lack of feathers

Colors can be deceptive in pics so maybe it looks redder to me than it actually is in person. Pics might be worth a thousand words... but they don't always tell the whole story.
