sophia glanced at jacen then looked away, finding something else to do, her parents always told her staring was rude, she still followed many of their rules even though they were dead.

Jacen followed her, but a bit away. He hit the water with his wing, and kept swimming.

sophia looked at jacen again, why was he following her? was he trying to draw her attention? she asked herself these questions and swam up to the bank and ate some of the weeds that grew there, turning her body so her head was hidden from view as she ate, though she could see jacen from where she was.

Felicity looked around her territory. No disturbance so far. She wished her friends and mate were here, her heart ached for them. Suddenly, she spyed a dark shape in the water. On HER TERRITORY! With a scream like something dying, Felicity lauched herself across the water at the attacker.

Kalika slowly swam towards her nest, keeping a sharp eye out for intruders. Ducking her head, she nipped some pond weed and kept on going, craning her head behind her every once in a while.
