Swap Meet - Charlotte Michigan - April 26

I'm a bit down the road in Marshall, MI. Do you know anywhere I can buy organic chicken feed in the Lansing area or in Southwest Michigan? I haven't been able to find it at TSC or Soldan's.

Hi Brady,

I live between Eaton Rapids and Charlotte and my sister lives down by Marshall. I don't know where you can get organic feed though. Are you coming to the swap meet?

UPDATE: We have had more people pre-register for the swap meet. Looks like we will have chickens, chicks, guineas, peacocks, rabbits, goats, sheep, pigs, possibly cattle and horses, pet rats, llamas, cages, horse tack, ceramics, hand crocheted items, and more!!

We also have a ton of great raffle items and some tasty treats for the concession stand, including cinnamon rolls for breakfast and pizza for lunch!!

Now if the weather cooperates, we will be all set!!

My feed store (in SE MI) said they would order it for me last time I went in. When I go in for dog food I am placing an order

I get organic feed from CVK Farms near Imlay City. I pick up from him on the west side of Ann Arbor. I know he delivers to some other places too, but I'm not sure where.

We went, we sold, we froze and came home.

Pet rats sold, guineas sold, half of the hay sold, got a number from someone who might want the big cages we brought ... and finally as we were getting ready to give up and go home, *someone* came along and snuggled up to a poor, stressed, tired Spaghetti and took him home too.

Came home with a brand new office chair from Staples (won the 9 am raffle), a small cage with large doors on top we can divide and use for transport to 4-H meetings and at Fair, and the contact info for someone with a couple of free FEMALE guineas.

Very few chickens. There were a few bantam roosters, some ducks, LOTS of bunnies, a herd of llamas, some goats, some small birds, lots of misc. stuff ... not as good of a turnout as I'd hoped because of the weather.

Frizzledhen, tried to email you from my RAZR before we left to see if you were on your way ... will contact you later about coming over and letting babygirl pick out a couple of pullets.

Does anyone know where I can pick up any day-old chicks, nearby, immediately? Want to try and put them under Crabby and I don't expect her to "stick" to her ceramic eggs for more than another few days.

*whew* too early of a morning and too rude of weather to chat more now ... going to defrost and finish unpacking later.

If you're willing to travel to other counties, try Big Acre in Davison and Hamilton's or TSC in Ortonville. They have chicks. Or maybe the TSC in Lapeer.
