I need SFH experts opinions please. I have 4 SFH chicks that are now 5 weeks old. Actually they are 5 weeks exactly today. Gender guesses please? I can't keep roosters and will have to sell them. I'm hoping against hope for 4 hens but give me your best guess based on experience please! I don't see any noticeable differences at this age but I don't really know....

I have five around the same age. I've never been good at sexing until around 8 weeks, but I thought that was just me.
I was going to post pics and ask for opinions, but guess I'll just wait and see. Its hit or miss posting from mobile anyway, I get so frustrated.

Well, I guess waiting 3 more weeks won't be the end of the world! I never could get a response about what age the gender became more apparent. I'm not a patient person

Don't panic! They do that, it means they're working at it. Tap on the incubator to mimic mother hen pecking at the eggs. If nothing else, it gives you something to do. : )

They are under two hens

I have had this happen several times....more than several times, actually....I hear peeping and nothing pops out. So I'm very nervous.

Good thing I am trapped under a sick toddler and can't stand at the coop door all day, lol.

Here is a pair of my 8-week-olds, a pullet and a cockerel. (I am selling these as a pair, or the cockerel alone, on Craigslist). Note how much more pronounced the comb is on the cockerel.
