Swedish Flower Hen Thread

TM - What do you see at the top of your reply window? If you have it on minimal, you should see a photo icon just to the left of the "film" icon and the smileys. Upload them there.

If you have the double row of icons, the insert photo is still to the left of the "film" icon and directly to the right of the text aligh icons.

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you so much Haplessrunner. Here are two pictures that I took. You reallycannot see them but it kind of gives an idea. I got 13 this size and three younger ones. There are so many different colors and their nature is great.
Well... I was late with the directions! :D

What a beautiful bunch

Trooper Man - I miss them already! And I want regular pictures of that black cockerel as he grows. I have a feeling he'll be pretty stunning!

I picked him up earlier and was looking at him. They are so tame I can pick any of them up. Thank you again they are in good hands and will be well taken care of. There is a bigger rooster that is white with red wings. Will he be that red splash color? You might know which one I am describing he has the tallest comb of their age.

My test eggs should be hatching on Saturday.

There are only 8 eggs total, 4 SFH and 4 Wheaten Marans. If things go well I will do a larger hatch soon and include some of my EEs. With all the colorful plumage of the SFH and the crazy combinations for EEs, my flock should look really nice roaming around this spring.

This past weekend I started weeding around my garden edging and I dumped a good few bucketfuls of chickweed and henbit into the SFH pen. Now they're turning up their beaks at their usual ration of pellets and scratch! They must be as ready for spring greens as I am.

Okay everybody, I have a question. Actually I already know the answer to this but I need others to verify what I already know for someone else's knowledge.
The question is do you have any swedish flower hens that lay a white or nearly white egg? Thanks!
My SFH pullets and hens lay an extraordinary light brown/cream colored egg.

This guy?

He'll grow up to look like his dad Sorenson - but without the crest -

My Elinor lays a white egg. The rest of my hens eggs vary in color from almost white to light tan.
