Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Any of you ship chicks? If so how much per chick and do you just do straight run

I'll be shipping in the spring. You can get more info about my farm at: http://Facebook.com/MyFlowerFarm

Yes, Swedish chicks are straight run because you can't tell sex until about 6 weeks. $15 per chick is usually the going rate. Shipping costs usually depend on where you live, but is approx $50. I like to take arranged orders ahead of time, so I can either incubate as needed or use a broody if I have one. I'm in Michigan, btw.

I'm pretty sure it's a stag has the comb, waddle and spurs as my other is lacking all of these traits but she's bigger than him haha. He was a runt though.
I'm not saying your wrong, just letting you know that even hens can grow spurs.

When it comes to this stuff I wouldn't doubt it as I'm pretty fresh at about 6months in haha. I do body work and restorations for a living so the chickens was a cheaper hobby that I do enjoy.
Well, welcome to the fascinating world of chicken keeping! For me, I am learning new stuff all the time and welcome it.

I am a little bit of a "car girl", so I can appreciate how pricey stuff is in that department. (I cried when I sold my ZO6.... more than once!) I'm ok now though.

Ah, chicken TV... loads of fun and cheaper (or NOT) than therapy.
