Could anyone direct me to a brand of vitamins to put in the chickens' water that contain riboflavin? I am getting desperate because one of my favorite SFH girls, Sandy, seems to be experiencing paralysis of her right foot, toes, ankle. She basically cannot walk on it and seems not to be able to control her toes. She is hobbling around using her entire lower leg as a foot, toes curled up beneath her. She has not had curled or bent toes like a couple of the others. She was just fine yesterday, and now tonight can barely get around. I have her in a box with shavings in my bedroom. She is drinking and eating fine, so that is encouraging. I thought I would try the vitamins- some of you have suggested B2. Of course this could be an injury but honestly I don't know how. Also, I moved her toes and ankle and she did not react.
I live in a backwards little town with no vet in a 100 mile radius who is willing to treat poultry. I posted on the NM thread begging for info on a vet anywhere in NM, or El Paso TX, or even AZ. Don't know if such a creature as a poultry vet exists, or if one does, whether he or she would be found anywhere near here.
Sorry to panic online but I really do not want to lose this girl.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
