Hi all,
I am a newer chicken owner and have a small backyard flock, this morning I woke up to find that one of my perfectly healthy Andalusians had extremely swollen wattles that have become discolored and more and more swollen throughout the day.

The only symptom I keep seeing this in is fowl cholera. I’ve isolated her from the rest of the birds - and she actually seems to be moving around better than she was this morning but her swollen wattles and now ear skin have gotten worse and darker after I got home from work.

Any recommendations on what this could be before I take her in for a vet visit?
This literally all started happening in the last 12-18 hrs

Avian flu has been detected in Texas, but I can't find if there are current cases in east Texas. The symptoms include swelling of body parts and upper respiratory symptoms.

The virus progresses very quickly, so if this hen develops more symptoms and dies in the next couple days, it would increase the chances of this being avian flu.
