Swollen Leg ad Bare Skin

Ok so latest update:

lost a duck last night.

No penicillin after all. We have a doctor in the family though so we can get if needed.

We split the ducklings into two brooders. The ducklings in the new brooder seem more lethargic than the ones in the original. a few of them don’t want to get up and if they do they lie down to eat and drink.

our yeast ratio

We have one duckling who is not walking eating and has a scar on its foot. Attached is a picture of the injury.

we just did an epson compress and clear iodine on it.

We are getting amoxicillin and dosing at 20mg / kg weight as per a local vet. Even though these are meat birds we decided that we ought to fight to keep it alive because our negligence is the reason for the sick bird. If this one isn’t a layer he’ll get a free ride just cause!

rigged up a system to catch their water to keep their coop clean moving forward. Bathed them again. Got mealworms andthey love it. Found to douse it in the vitamin b.

thanks everyone for being so helpful!
