Improvement I look for is more active, more chatty when you go in to see her, eating and drinking more, and in this case less indication her nose is running.

Sounds good. I think she's starting to get better then...
Should I stress her to get the black off her nose so I can tell better? The black on the top, almost seems like necrototic tissue, too by the way...

Oh ugh I hope that isn't what it is. I am not sure what to tell you about the black on her nose - I wonder if it would come off with some coconut oil and a paper towel? If it stresses her I would be inclined to leave her be for now as long as she seems to be improving.
