Taking babies

I am trying to sell some of my month old chicks because I have too many for my area where I live. Will mama know I took some of the babies if I leave some with her?

She's probably getting close to weaning them anyhow, so I don't think it'll really matter. I guess if it makes you feel guilty thinking about it, wait until she weans them, then sell them?
