TAPEWORM TREATMENT?

@lotsofloveforchickens it looks like you have 6 threads going on this same subject. It is very hard to keep up with everything that everyone has told you with so many threads. It would be ever so much easier if you stayed with one thread for any particular bird or issue, that way we don't keep repeating info or muddying the waters with unnecessary information.

AFTER ASKING MANY QUESTIONS IM NOW THINKING MY HEN HAS TAPEWORMS. WHATS THE BEST TREATMENT FOR TAPEWORMS? PLEASE HELP!
For the last time: EQUIMAX equine paste is the best treatment. How do I know this? I've dealt with tapeworms many times and the praziquantel in the product kills tapeworms deader than a door nail!
Refer to the link I provided in your last thread for dosage. Good luck!

Here's a different link for you to read regarding worms and worming, including treating tapeworms (Cestodes.)

I use this. Works great!
P.D. I do not fight chickens

I would be a bit cautious about this one, unless you have a fecal done to confirm it worked after treatment on tapeworm. Piparazine is effective on roundworm and pinworm, phenothiazine dropped out of use in the 1950's with the advent of newer medications-no idea if it is still effective, Dibutyltin dilaurate has some side effects at too high a dose. I would still go with a medication that has praziquantel in it (equimax horse paste) as that seems to be the currently favored medication that is effective for treating tapeworm. Most people recommend a 14 day withdrawl period for eggs, but most wormers have not been studied in poultry so there is no literature with definite withdrawl times. I personally would be a bit concerned about the Dibutyltin dilaurate and phenothiazine due to what it is. That's just me, this the info I found:

thanks for letting me know how this forum stuff works I know I had lots of questions and all were very similar but I was getting worried about my hen wasn't sure how to fix her problem and her poop kept changing every time I would check it. I guess I got to worked up. next time I will keep in mind to use one forum.

In a feed store here in Big Island, Hawaii. You can find it online
It was almost $50 for 100 tabs
I’ve seen it for a better price online
