TCH's Hatch-a-long!

I had a chick hatch last night, and he seems to be covered in sticky something. He cannot stand, his feet get stuck to his head. I've been paintbrushing him hoping to get it unstuck but I don't know what to do.
@MGG @CluckNDoodle ? I know I tag you guys a ton but I don't want to have to cull this little guy!

No don't cull him! Wash him off.

Use a warm wet cloth if you can but even if you have to use a bit more water it's better than culling. He may still be unstable for a while since he's been in the position so long. If you have vitamins I would give him some vitamins as well to help him perk up.

He's doing a little better, one eye is open and he isn't flopping around like he's still in the egg anymore. Thanks for your advice!!

He's doing great! Starting to fluff near his chest and neck, and both eyes are uncovered, along with the beak!

Oh no, best of luck!

We now have 6 chicks in total. The one covered in stuff died this morning. I don't know why.
So sorry to hear that, we lost one too, hatched yesterday, found it dead under the mother, but the second one hatched this morning and is doing great!

A little Golden chick with white wing-tips, a very fluffy, fat face, and feathered legs!
