I second that the species of baby chicks are hard to distinguish, since there's only a handful of possible color and pattern combinations babies can have, meanwhile their possible adult shape and plumage is much more diverse. When they're babies we don't have overall body or comb types to work with.

The Big R can tell you what kinds of chickens they ordered for the year, their employees will be of better help.

My friend saw them, she said Americanas, leghorn, bu might ne a mix withe the black spots, and most likely Australorpes. We'll see

Coming from Big R you'll oul have Easter Egger, not Ameraucana. To I'd you need to shoot the birds from the side and show or tell the type of comb bud each has

The black one is probably an Austrolorp. I'd guess the darker chipmunk patterned ones are laced Wyandottes (I'd say silver laced but I'm only going by the color in the picture). I'd guess the reddish colored striped ones are either speckled Sussex or Welsummers, however there are many chipmunk patterned chicks like brown Leghorns, EEs, etc. The white ones with black spots are probably Austra whites.

Ok I'll see about some side shots. I have baby ducks that just hatched, not sure how many yet. MAMA hatched them. She roosted in a nest 2 ft off ground but I put a ladder there. Im hoping babies can waddle down it..
