Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today.

I remember my son doing that. He SUCKED so bad at baseball, and at ONE game - the championship game - he threw the ball SOOOOO far to win the game. He only shining moment in baseball!

Sometimes it's kind of hard to watch. He wants to soooo bad. And I'm afraid he doesn't have an athletic bone in his body which is too darn bad because he's built like a brick wall and is going to end up being well over 6 feet I'm guessing. It's just heartbreaking to watch when they want it so bad - but boy - he hit that ball and he just glowed. Honestly - a happy - glowing 7 year old is worth his weight in gold.

Just remember that sports for kids is about FAR more than performing well. It was the only reason I had my son in sports was to learn how to lose gracefully. It teaches them about being a team, supporting each other, how to step out of their comfort zone, how to compromise, how to make generous decisions. All things they need later in life.

"generous decisions".... I like that. Nice turn of phrase for something everyone should learn

Something good that happened to me today, huh,.......I got to take a break from the norm and have a night out...........no cooking, no cleaning up..........it was soooooooooooo nice!! Steak and shrimp at the tip of my fork....and I didn't have to cook it!!!!!! Man, did he score some points!! Dinner out............ yeah, he got some major points!!

I don't know that it's something good that happened, but I did get the lawn mowed today. It's an acre lawn and we only have a push mower, so I felt good that I finally got it done.
We have one more week of my DH being in the "boot" for his broken leg and just in time. I don't think my old body can take much more of doing both of our chores and handling everything else that he's not able to do right now.

I went to physical therapy today. It's for pain management, so I leave feeling better (although it's increadiablly akward to make small talk with the guy strapping electrodes onto your butt, evern if he's got a master's degree for this).

My leg feels better, sadly my face does not (fell face first into the bathtub and split my lip).
