Tell your 'what the heck was that thing?' scary story

I would have loved to have seen that! I've been on the water at night and have seen the phosphorus flashes when bait jumps and stuff but never anything like that. Don't you wonder what that could be...

aww thanks spookwriter..going to have to ban myself from this thread seeing how I am all alone again tonite..

It's not scary, more just weird. It was getting dark out and I was out with my mom looking at the stars starting to appear. I had noticed a shape that looked like a cross in the stars
roll.png
I was just looking around near it, then looked at it a bit....then one of the "stars" in the center, slowy started to move away, then disappeared. My mom said it was probably a satellite, but aren't satellites always in motion? Idk it was just wierd, it was still so long then just moved some and gone.

ok i know im going to get slap for this but im pretty shold that it was aleins or or or ghosts (if i slepped that right) beacause i have some exiper like that before but i was never in a car

Ok...I'll add a "story":

I was in my mid-20's and living in Colorado where I operated an insurance agency. I had been to my hometown in New Mexico on other business.... and one of my close High School friends, living in our Hometown, was going out of State for a couple of weeks to an Electronics School. Somehow it evolved that his wife and children would visit with us in Colorado until his schooling was finished and then we would all return to New Mexico to retrieve their personal property from the rented house and they would also move to Colorado.

After he returned from School, We left Colorado and travelled back to New Mexico where we loaded up the 2 trailers with their belongings...(except the beds and a few minor things)... by nightfall one evening and went to bed early...intending an early departure after daybreak. My wife and I slept in the front bedroom, just off the front (living) room. In the middle of the night, I awoke and went to the restroom......then I got a glass of water in the kitchen.

While I got the glass of water, I heard voices in the living room and decided that my friend and his wife were probably discussing their imminent move. I went back into the bedroom. I sat on the edge of the bed, sipping from the glass of water, and listening. The voices didn't sound familiar....so I opened the door leading to the living room just a few inches...and peered out.

There was a Navajo Indian and his girlfriend on the couch. (Apparently, they had been living there while my friends were not there, although we hadn't seen any evidence of this.) I closed the door...but did not shut it.....thinking that I MUST BE asleep, yet. I sat back down on the bed. I heard voices and movement in the living room again. I again opened the door slightly and peered out. It was still dark in the house and no lights had been turned on....except in the living room.

I saw the male Navajo head for our bedroom with his girlfriend in tow.

When he opened the door I hit him square in the face with a "Right-Cross" and knocked him into the lamp and to the floor. He jumped up, grabbed his pants and followed his girlfriend out the front door. I chased them to the street wearing only my "skivvies", and couldn't see them anymore so I went back into the house....locking the front door.

I didn't tell anyone else about it until morning......no point ruining their sleep.

TRUE "spook-story"......,

I think they debunked that on "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" on SYFY.

The ocean lights or the Bimini road?

The Bimini road I personally think is most likely a natural thing (Not man made or from Atlantis, made by aliens, etc.), but still weird. You are just swimming along and the bam! there they are. There are supposed to be two other of the same type formations in the same area, but to me they just looked like natural piles of rock.

The lights might be explained someday, but I know they exist because I've seen them myself, several times. Not spooky, but weird.

The ocean lights. I have been thinking about it, and I am not sure if it was that show, because I think it was before that series ever started, but I know I saw it on one of those kinds of shows.

I have to say; I have been avoiding reading this thread, I knew that I would be sucked in for hours. I have officially been sucked into the depths.

I guess I will add my story.

First I must explain the location. In far northeastern Washington state there is a little town called Barstow, about 15 miles from the Canadian border. Home to the Columbia River and Kettle river, steep hillsides doted with grazing cattle. The family farm is located on one of these hills. I grew up with family close at all times, my grandparents house was always the place to be, the hub of all activity. The barns and corrals are all located there. The views are expansive to say the least, the farm house looks out at the neighboring mountain range to the west with snow capped peaks until the end of July. The US air-force regularly uses this area for fighter pilot training. The sonic booms would rattle the china cabinet on a regular basis. When the planes would fly low you could see the pilot in the cockpit.

On a regular night at my grandmothers house there was usually a few grandkids staying there, because we never wanted to leave. Even though we only lived about eight miles or so away. Well on this particular night there were three of us staying there, myself (age 12) and two cousins (aged 8 and 13.) We were cleaning up after dinner standing in front of the sink helping wash and dry dishes. My Grandma notices what she said were two really bright stars on the horizon line just above the mountain range. With all four of us crowded around the kitchen window, we watched. These two "stars" were becoming bigger and brighter with every passing second, and closer. Mind you none of us were talking, just watching in awe. After about two minutes these stars were large and coming over the last hill before the farm. At this point we went outside onto the porch to watch. My grandmother had shut off all of the lights in the kitchen as we went outside. These "stars" turned into some sort plane/flying object. We watched them pass over the barn and barnyard, at this point they were flying at a very slow pace. Slower than any fixed wing plane could fly. They came to a hovering halt over the front pasture, right over the calf sheds. At this time there were about fifty head of cattle in the pasture, they were not spooked. We stood there watching in silence. These crafts looked about twenty feet across and were oval in shape, with small wing type things coming out on each side. Each had a VERY bright spotlight on the front/nose of it. The spotlights seemed to be scanning the ground right in front of them. It seemed like we watched them for a long time, but it was more like five minutes. Lizzy (8 years old) got scared at this point and ran back inside and slammed the door. Right after the door slammed the crafts took off up the hillside behind the house and straight into the sky, as fast as a finger snap. These crafts made no sound at all. Gone.

I am now 25 and remember it like it was yesterday. So do my cousins. After the crafts were gone we went back inside and started to write down what we had seen and each drew pictures of what we saw. There were four of us there and we all saw the same thing and drew pictures of the same objects. I am not sure if what we saw was some top secret air-force plane or something from another planet. My Grandmother claimed that it was the dang Russians.

Well thats my true story.

Edited: Because I forgot a good fact
