My room has a big double pain window which my bed used to be right next to where I could turn toward the window and look out over the roof of the garage when my head lay on the pillow. One night around 3:00 I was asleep when suddenly I was awakened by a loud thud from out side my window. I looked out and in the moon light I could make out a faint outline of something standing on the roof. It was tall much taller then any owl species that lives around here, it really wasn’t shaped like any bird I have ever seen, and its wings were not folded but held out, way out, like they were really big. I kept squinting trying to get a better look at what it was; I wasn’t really that scared because I just assumed it was a really big bird or something, until I realized the thing was getting bigger as in it was moving closer to me, this freaked me out. My window was open with just a screen between me and the outside and the… thing. So I slammed the window done and locked it just as fast as I could, when I did this I must of scared whatever it was away because it was gone when I looked up from the window lock it was around 3:10 then. I noticed the time because I couldn’t believe I had spent a whole 10 mins looking at that thing. I must have fallen right back asleep after that. I can’t tell if it was a dream or real but my window was closed and locked when I woke up that morning but I know it was open when I went to bed. Needless to say I moved my bed the next day and keep my cretins closed now.

I have a few stories myself


My friend lives out in the woods where there used to be a ancient Indian Burial ground (well down the road from him) and Within the last 10 years there have been like 8 or 9 owners all claimed to have seen something in that house.

Once I was in my bedroom trying to fall asleep. And I have one of those old rattle kind of door knobs, it rattled and I heard 4 stomps go through my bedroom. Look up nobody is there and the door is closed.


Another story at the same friends house, We were out at midnight hunting for coon, coyote, anything that would give us fur. I was using my cottontail call and something that didnt run like anything else could. Ran like its leg was broked but seemed to be running a good 40MPH and had the body of a cat, as soon as I turned on the flashlight to shoot it took off the other was running like a. Like a. I cant explain it, I looked for tracks and saw tracks that I couldnt explain, I looked at tracks and just couldnt identify what it was. So we were walking back to his house (we were taking the road back) and saw silver eyes watching us, everytime we got out of its eyesight it was there again watching us. He told me that the week before he heard leaves rustling and thought it was a squirrel and later that night he said he saw what looked to be a little thing 4 feet tall, hunched over, red eyes. He said that he ran back to the house to grab a gun and it was gone.


Another time at the same friends house, he said he was out in the woods and saw one of those witch circle things. Every time I go out to his house something freaky happens.

Glad to see this thread picked up again. I too read all 47 pages, and contributed one post myself, but would love to hear more stories from people who've experienced wierd stuff...

It's... interesting. Kinda frightening, too. Of course, my conspiracy-oriented mind is going absolutely crazy with the possibilities. Sounds like one screwed up place, that's for sure.

That is one of the reasons I carry a gun when I go hiking or out in the woods anyway. If it was me I honestly would back up a little and put lead in it. Preferably between the eyes.

I will finish reading everyones in a minute,but I LOVE this thread, good to see there are so many like-minded people who don't shrug it off as nothing!

ALL my life, I have believed in all that stuff,well for as long as I knew they existed, point being I've thought that there was "more" out there.

I believe in bigfoot, I believe in ghosts, the mothman, all of that.

The Mothman was a very real thing. Anyone ever see the movie?

I too, have seen the Mothman, not directly. but I have seen to this day, what I swear was the mothman.

my mother, sister and I were driving home from dinner one night, it was dark. we were on a quite little road in Chillicothe OH.

I saw what I THOUGHT was in the distance AHEAD of us, car taillights, I kept my eyes one them. only to realize that they were no ahead of us, but on the side of the road, two little red orbs, and back in tree line, about 10 feet up.

well one would think those blinker things they put on trees and guard rails, but I looked again, and the red orbs looked to be following the car O-o

then they blinked out.

I also believe I've had an encounter several months ago with what I think were Bigfoot.

a friend and I were walking WAAYY back on an old logging road, with smaller hiking roads, and we got back about I'd say 2 miles, no houses, no vehicle sounds.

I kept getting this really uneasy feeling (and if you know me I'm MORE at home deep in the woods than in my own house xD), so we kept walking, and stopped at a creek to let his dog have a drink, and we ALL, including the dog heard something walking through the woods, the dog (who unfortunately passed away last month at 15 years old

)

bared his teeth, and somewhere we heard some deer barking. but we kept on going, until we got about 5 or 6 miles back, then my friend says to me "do you hear that?, something has been following us for over 30 minutes", I listened for a minute, and I heard the brush move.

long story short, we headed back, because we were both getting uneasy, on the way back we kept hearing what sounded like whistling, just short, sharp whistles, every ten minutes or so, and never behind us, always RIGHT beside us on one side or the other, or infront of us.


a couple other people I've talked to have had the exact same experience., people have even reported spotting several bigfoot in that area about as far back as we were.

a couple things people say about bigfoot: they whistle like what we heard, as a form of communication, they follow you for miles, in an attempt to freak you out.

another thing that it could be is what someone I knew called "wood folk", which are supposedly basically like Gnomes that live in trees, and can make you become turned around even in familiar areas, supposed to move land marks, ect.

speaking of which, this very same thing happened to me, I was walking through a stretch of woods I knew very well a couple years ago, and as I had been walking for a couple hours, leaving tape ribbons, and I kept feeling like I was watched, well somehow or another, I got completely turned around. and all the while I kept getitng this feeling and hearing these clicking sounds. it took me over 3 hours and nearly sunset to finally pop out the next county over. O-o

OH one more I feel is the scariest one of all, because I CANNOT explain it, even to this day.


This was several years ago, a friend of mine in school and I had gone to a movie, and I had stayed at his house that night. Well his parents had decided to go out,
so we were all alone at his house, it was dark, and we took his dog out to potty.

we were out for maybe 15 minutes, and BOTH of us all of a sudden coming from the woods behind his house, this ear splitting child scream/cat wailing mixed together, sound, for maybe a good 3 minutes straight, then it stopped and we heard it again 15 minutes later farther back.

now that was freaky enough, the freakiest part, was you know dogs, they hear something like that, they would be barking their heads off, my friends dog didn't bark, EITHER time, the second time we heard it, she pricked her ears, looked ou the window and started wagging her tail! as the screeching was going on
