I think all the young adults on the show suffer from "Duddly Doright" syndrome. They are all just too good to be true, even the one who is talking to Mira. If the society and world that they come from is so awful, there is no way they would be so darn nice.
There was mention a few weeks ago that Taylor holds his men to a very strict standard. I imagine they have good behavior pounded into their heads, are afraid to NOT behave, and were most likely selected to go back based on behavior.
