We got 3" yesterday along with high winds. A lot of big branches down, blew a pole down in the chicken pen, tore my flag pole in half, and blew the top of two trees down. Still coming down! I LOVE IT! Our yard is a big pool but I DON"T CARE. We needed this.

We got almost a whole inch! Most of it came on Sunday afternoon.

When I get iPhoto working on my macbook again (it broke when I upgraded to Maverick) I can post photos of the painting I did over the weekend. I started my garage. :)

Glad you missed me! I have been out with a concussion. I am still moving slow, but am doing better now.

Yes, a concussion. I was being my usual graceful self. It happened on the 16th. I was putting our newest addition to bed in our small bathroom when he made a mad dash for the door. I bent over to grab him and hit my forehead on the sink. I didn't pass out, just said 'OW'. I have had concussions in the past and knew what to watch for. My head was roaring, headaches, nausea, couldn't stand motion or sound. I stayed in bed through the weekend. I called my family doctor Monday. Told them I had a concussion, my appointment was set up for Wednesday. Tuesday morning I was starting to feel better. By that afternoon, all symptoms came back full force. Ken took me to the ER. We waited 6 1/2 hours (no typo) for them to confirm my concussion. Ken was NOT happy. As we were checking out, they told us that they take people with NO insurance first then those with insurance.

I saw my neurologist on Thursday. There really are no post-concussion rules (which I knew). Move slow, light reading, light TV, no strenuous activity, etc. Oh and don't hit your head!

I'm glad you're feeling better.
He sure is cute...maybe he'll make it up to you by keeping snakes away? :)
