I could take the summer off, but there would be nothing we could do, no fun stuff as my teacher salary simply pays the bills, and not even that good. So, i tutor and babysit to supplement my income so we can do fun stuff...or I give my kids money so they can do fun stuff. lol Today, I sent my middle daughter who is 22 and my youngest, 9, to my sisters house and tomorrow they will be off to Branson, Missouri. They will be gone for 11 days and will have a BLAST! I am fortunate to have the extra income that allows my youngest to go and have a fabulous summer vacation. Karis, the 22 year old has to fund her own trip! I also had a concrete slab poured, 2700$, got my hot tub moved and working, 900$, and I will have enough for new carpet. I could never have done any of this without the extra jobs.

Mel,
In this poor economy , having a job is a key for happiness. Look like you have a lot of keys.... and look like you are very happy

Hugs and prayers are coming your way. I am so sorry you are feeling bad. Have you tried taking Sudafed along with the allergy medicine? That sometimes will help me.

You really come up with some cute designs. Your house is really looking good!

Lisa :)
I can't take credit for the diamond idea. That came from the people who run the Retro Renovation site. My house was featured there. :)

You need to post photos of the finished job. :)

I went to place my order and NOW they wont ship until 08/20 :/
Bummer! Keep checking back. Sometimes the dates change.

My head is feeling better today, but the headache is lingering. We need a big front to blow in and clear out the air.
I got a second ride for the week in today. There is way too much construction going on around here!!!! I and to walk my bike 1/2-3/4 mile due to road work. It was nice to be out though. I miss riding.

I will. I just don't want to get them too late because they can NOT stay inside like the last batch did when it was cold.
And I wen home on lunch and was greeted y a $600 water bill! We don't water our lawn, irrigate, AND our water was out for like..a WEEK..there's just no possible way. Put a n and they said "Oh you must have a substantial leak! But that would still be your responsibility"
Um...no. We live in a little house, on a little lot, and we're outside, in pretty much ALL areas, everyday. We would have DEFINATELY noticed a leak that big. here is NOTHING. Not even a moist or soggy spot. And definitely no standing or running water.

So, long story short, no ordering this week, or the next. I'm sure that sets shipping back even further. Might be smarter to wait until spring.
Until then I'll check out the prices at the market or Sprouts...
And I've been watching so many processing videos, I'm sure I'd look like a psycho if someone we're to look at my YouTube history. lol.

With the TX heat, most places will refuse shipping. When shipping via the Post Office, they only allow the route that is between 45F-80F. I have lots of folks wanting to buy mine but I stated my rule of only shipping in Oct/Nov and the month of March/April, with the exception of Alaska (this is a total different rule).

In July-Aug, maybe pick up is the best mean. If shipping, then use the airline that accepts direct shipping from airport to airport (that was how we shipping in the 70s-90s

It's a few Cornish X coming from Ideal. If it's an overnight trip, would it be that bad?
If so, I'll have to wait until spring I think.
I won't be keeping those suckers inside.

Maybe trucking has different rule. I was referring to Post Office rule, and their rule was mainly based on the airline regulations. Ideal may know their shipping well so go with their ways.

It's kind of funny since these Shipping never involve any Ships.

I have decided that I am going to wait until the weather cools off to finish painting the house. The heat (and humidity) are just too high for the paint and for me. It can wait. I don't want to scrape more than I have so bare wood is exposed to the elements either so the prep work will wait as well.

I am going to do my diamonds though. :) I can do those inside.

In the air conditioning!!!

That means I can go cycling on Saturday mornings again.

Off to clean the house now and find some other things to do. I already got my errands run this morning.
