WOW I thought I had my watering system thought out -- I don't even have a coop yet - too much of a planner I guess.
I'm going with water safe 15 gal plastic drum plumbed through pvc to the area I've decided on ad use nipples for the chickens.
I got the idea from BYC , looked good.

I thought I had all my stuff planned, built and ready to go....brought my babies home this last weekend.....and Saturday we will start adjusting all the stuff we thought we had figured out

So don't fret about having everything perfect before they arrive.........cause ya wont

And they seem to be very forgiving!!!

And, its fun learning together!!!! us and the chickchildren

My reply down below was for you...................i'm a newbie to this website so i get a little confused on how exactly im suppose to reply.......or is it because im so excited to get my chicks in a couple weeks

im glad to be making some "peeps" down here in the SETX area! I look forward to helping each other out in our new ventures!

So happy I may have a lead on a coop - there is a small paper from the lakes area Peddler it has good stuff. Hubby seems to be coming on board he found this man with a coop made from old barn wood, and he called on it. I have no idea what to expect - but who knows it maybe useable. He said he has extra wood and a tack room also, possibly the 2 could be used together somehow. Hope I can arrange to see it this Thursday afternoon.
