Texas

I am feeling really sick, haha! I am sipping my chai tea and soon will be sniffing some potpourri....or Vicks Vapo Rub, haha! I never leave the house (and I don't work in an office), so my family infected me with whatever they had. Of course, when they get sick, I'm home to care for them. When I get sick, I have to go it alone. Hence the feel-good egg projects!

Get some rest, you have got to feel better by Thanksgiving!!

Lisa :)

I finished my trial egg experiment! This is a potpourri egg!

Considering I used a normal chicken egg (rather than some other, thicker-shelled egg), I'm pretty proud. It has a clay base that I made. It will hold in a small mesh baggy of potpourri (a homemade mix of cloves, cinnamon, and orange rind).

I originally wanted to hang it, but I think it looks nicer like this. I used hot glue to make the details on the bottom. That is gonna take a little more practice, haha!
I LOVE that! What a great idea!

Hope you are feeling better soon. Being sick sucks.

Thank you! I'm hoping to make about 6 more (I want some made from my game hen eggs, since they are small and pointy!). I might even end up selling a couple if the reception is good. They aren't necessarily easier to make, but they are fun and functional, which is great for our house.

Now to design some that will look good in my brother's room. If only I knew how to make a clay dragon, I could wrap it around a potpourri egg. That way, the dragon looks like it is protecting the egg, like treasure!

*starts Googling dragons* :D

I made a clay dragon from Sculpey clay. :) His picture was on the sample box I have.

Look on their site for ideas. Sometimes they have instructions too.

Ok, that would be awesome. I can just imagine it.

Good morning, no one! I just woke up. My body burns off Nyquil too fast. Ugh. After waking from the most restful sleep I've had all weekend (although it wasn't all that restful, considering my sore throat and the fact that my cat has been clawing at my face periodically throughout the night), I'm having horrible sick-girl cravings.

I don't know why, but I'm really craving beef jerky. I don't even eat beef jerky! There are fajitas in the fridge that I was going to make today for lunch, but my tummy says to make them now. All that will power I've been using to eat healthy is coming in handy! :D

I can't even distract myself with music. Singing while sick is a bad idea and it will probably freak out my cats. I've been grunting at them for two days, haha!

Good Morning Fellow Texans!!

It looks like Laura is up and ready to take the world on whether she is sick or not!!! (Don't overdo it my friend!!)

Hung: Are you alive or did you stay all night on the audit?

Cold, wet, and rainy out!

Be careful out there. I went shopping yesterday morning and the holiday shoppers are already out in force! UGH!!

Lisa :)

G' morning everyone.

Lisa dear, i'm ok on the first day, i sang and dance a lot. Still 1 more day to go. We ate a lot of soup at lunch time. The only thing good about audit is ... lunch.

Glad that it's warmer today
