Are you sure they are bumble bees?  There are some bees that don't usually sting but are great for pollinating.  Shoot! I can't think of their name right now.  I would call a beekeeper to help you.

Are you thinking of the Mason Bee? Sometimes called the Orchard Bee. They are docile and only sting if stepped on. Better pollinators than Honey Bees. There was an article on them in Texas Farm and Home magazine.

Correct. They are used just for pollination. I have a garden. I also have a lot of bees in my yard so I may not get them. There is a hive of honey bees in the park near my house so my yard is always buzzing with bees.

You probably already have them. They are solitary and do not use hives like honeybees. I have seen hundreds at my place just did not realize that was what they are. The article I mentioned also detailed how to make nesting blocks for them. Very interesting!

They really are. I read about them and I round a site that sells kits for 'houses' for them - really nests for their eggs. The funds go to help people in the Amazon rain forests. There are a ton of places to buy housing for them, but it is easy to make your own too.
