I can already tell they are a different personality than my reds were at first. They snuggle with each other until I go in there then they come check me out. I felt sorry for them last night I had the brooder in the coop, covered but my 4 week old reds could get on top of the screen cover. I think the babies thought they were overhead predators. I divided the coop now so they are more relaxedHi Robin, You will love having silkies around. Mine come a runnin when they see me. Actually, they know I usually bring mealy worms. I do believe that is the real attraction. Have a great day.
