Game wardens can be a pain in the butt during deer season, but they are doing their job. They seem to care more than the rest. Without them deer and game would be over hunted and waters would be over fished, so we put up with them checking on us opening day...might be able to help you...don't know.

It's worth a shot. Worst that happens is they tell me the same things that animal control and the sheriff did. Best is those dogs are removed from those people's "care" and the people have to pay for all the dogs medical attention or euthanization. Hitting them in the pocket book will hurt them more than anything but jail time. And I don't see them going to jail over sick dogs. Though I think they deserve to with a mangy dog and a dog that obviously got hit by a car and is severely injured in its back leg. Neither of which is getting vet attention. Plus, those dogs have killed livestock and attacked people, they need to be delt with before they maim or kill some kid.

Anyone in the DFW area selling hatching eggs? I have my first broody hen!!! So excited! Wish I still had a rooster!

I got chicks from a lady in Decatur. I don't know if she'd have the breeds our looking for though. I think she had various Marans, Cream Legbars, American Bresse, and Isbars.

I also found a place closer (to me) that has Seramas, Swedish Flower Hens, Candy Corn Polish, and some others. She's doing a Cuckoo Silkie breeding project too.
Don't know if she has eggs but it may be worth asking :)

Thanks, I will look and see if they can do anything. I'd rather these people got in some kind of trouble for the condition their dogs are in. Maybe they can get banned from ever owning a dog again. That would be awesome.

The game warden will tell you to seek the help of the sheriffs office. Do so. Do it so much they want you to stop calling. Do the same with your local animal control. Its not a wild animal, game warden can't help.

That's what happened to me at least. Every area is different. Personally I'd shoot the dogs if they even looked cross at my chickens. I've done it many times before.

So Ken you ready for the Macarena? Or are your tail feathers still sore?

I am sorry I inadvertantly was rude last night. I fell asleep at my desk. I guess the last couple of days caught up with me. I have been building a coop and run for a lady, and finally finished it yesterday. And to answer your question, yes my tailfeathers are still sore, along with all my other feathers!! LOL

Got some new ladies last night! I drove almost an hour to get some 6 week old Barred Rocks from an older gentleman in a little town called Blum. I'm just glad the kids weren't with me or I would have came home with a petting zoo! He had Barred Rocks, Production Reds, Buff Orpingtons, Cream Legbars, Guineas, rabbits, goats, a bunch of cats and half a dozen dogs (with two litters of pups he kept trying to talk my wife into taking home) lol It was great to talk to someone so excited about his animals. The kids were thrilled when we got home! It was like Christmas morning in my house! Haha

I won't hesitate to shoot. But it is not the dogs fault it is the owners and I would much rather the owners paid the price than the dogs. Some of those dogs might be saved that way, some are too aggressive or sick to be saved. But the pregnant dog, I really don't want to shoot her and kill those pups if there is any chance someone would come get her.
