Oh I will. But I don't want to chance hitting my flock by accident. 8 moving dogs are a lot of targets to track. It is a good thing I keep 2 clips loaded with hollow points for my mini 9mm. These dogs are extremly dangerous to any person or animal that does not live with them of those 2 properties. They have killed countless cats, some of my neighbor's chickens (he shot 1 in the head with a chicken in its mouth), ripped the front leg off an old mans pet German Shepard after tearing through chain link fence to get it, killed a lady's weenie dog also in her yard, tore through 2 chain link fences to breed a female dog in heat, bit a 15 year old boy walking down the street, and I myself have had 2 encounters with them 1 of which was in my yard defending my cat from them. It happened so fast I just grabbed a metal pipe and ran off. I now keep the gun close at all times and am a better shot now anyhow.

I will not hesitate to shoot nor will I feel remorse for doing so. Of the 8 dogs with them this evening, 1 was mangy, 1 was hobbling on 3 legs, and 1 was a very pregnant female, which means more aggressive dogs soon. Animal control, the sheriff, and animal abuse hotlines won't do anything. I already tried. That leaves shoot'em as my only option. Though to be honest, if I have to shoot any of their dogs, I'd love to dump the bodies on their property. But I will settle for calling the sheriff and having a report written. I think they are liable/responsible for any damages their dogs do.

I hear ya. Sounds like you need a shotgun. I would use a long barrell, so the spread is not so wide, less chance of hitting your girls. Use a number one or number two buckshot, less pellets with alot of punch.

I have a shotgun, but I don't have the barrel add on that concentrates the buck shot on it so can't use it yet. Might be time to go get 1 though.

And it's not the dogs I blame, it's their owners.

Try calling your local game warden. I'm pretty sure they have the authority to act on something like that.

Do we even have a local game warden if we are only a few miles from a big city? We are kinda no mans land, not in the city limits so we don't get covered by animal control and not far enough away from the city to qualify as country any more.

The Ladies were trying to perch in our neighbors' tree again tonight. Fred even wandered around in their back yard a bit before hopping back over into our yard JUST as I got the neighbor to help us corral her. What a little punk!

I'm tempted to change her name from Fred to Punk. Looks like we're going to clip their wings ASAP. I'd like to do it tomorrow, but I'll need extra hands...so I guess I'll get it done first chance my husband gets to help me (most likely Saturday, if I don't enlist my neighbor first).

You can go to Texas Parks and Wildlife and see if your county area has a game warden. The contact info for him should be on the page.

Thanks, I will look and see if they can do anything. I'd rather these people got in some kind of trouble for the condition their dogs are in. Maybe they can get banned from ever owning a dog again. That would be awesome.
