Texas

I've found that it's been a special order item.  I have a feed store in Terrell that will do special orders but not all feed stores will.  Since Southwest Feed Mill shut down, I have found a dearth of grains other than regular mixed feed stuff.

Thank you very much. I'll have to as at the store.

Man,it is a very good thing I decided to try to put the flock up early by myself. (kids were getting physical and hubby was with them). The jerks with all the stray dogs just walked by with a little kid and 8 dogs OFF leash. Those dogs went into other peoples yards and they didn't do squat! If my flock had been out the dogs would have tried to get them, and if they had managed to get over my 4 foot fence I would have feel furious. Time for me to go back to the gun range. Looks like our 2 weeks of peace from them are over.

I just feel bad that I got not 1 but 2 of your layers, lol. Shoulda painted their fannies! You would have known.

I'll probably do that when my EEs come of age, especially since they will lay similar colored eggs. Our RSL & WL's eggs should be red/brown & white, respectively...so there shouldn't be any question there.

Sorry there's so much riff-raff in your neighborhood.

It's 1 family that owns 2 houses across from each other, the rest of the neighborhood are either very friendly or just keep to themselves. This guy likes causing trouble. He is our bad apple, if you will.

It only takes one to ruin everyone's good time.

Hopefully they back off, move away or get busted for whatever they're doing so ya'll don't have to put up with 'em anymore.

Hey Starfire, Why go to the range, if they get into "your yard and are going after "your" livestock, Texas law states you have every right to shoot to kill the predator, even if it is on the endangered list. Use the dogs as targets!! LOL

Oh I will. But I don't want to chance hitting my flock by accident. 8 moving dogs are a lot of targets to track. It is a good thing I keep 2 clips loaded with hollow points for my mini 9mm. These dogs are extremly dangerous to any person or animal that does not live with them of those 2 properties. They have killed countless cats, some of my neighbor's chickens (he shot 1 in the head with a chicken in its mouth), ripped the front leg off an old mans pet German Shepard after tearing through chain link fence to get it, killed a lady's weenie dog also in her yard, tore through 2 chain link fences to breed a female dog in heat, bit a 15 year old boy walking down the street, and I myself have had 2 encounters with them 1 of which was in my yard defending my cat from them. It happened so fast I just grabbed a metal pipe and ran off. I now keep the gun close at all times and am a better shot now anyhow.

I will not hesitate to shoot nor will I feel remorse for doing so. Of the 8 dogs with them this evening, 1 was mangy, 1 was hobbling on 3 legs, and 1 was a very pregnant female, which means more aggressive dogs soon. Animal control, the sheriff, and animal abuse hotlines won't do anything. I already tried. That leaves shoot'em as my only option. Though to be honest, if I have to shoot any of their dogs, I'd love to dump the bodies on their property. But I will settle for calling the sheriff and having a report written. I think they are liable/responsible for any damages their dogs do.
