When we first bought this house the yard was full of stickers. Some farmer told us to put something on it from feed store but idk what it was I have to ask james. We didnt do it we just kelp it mowed and watered the crap out of it so far we have kelp stickers down and it is actually getting nice in the yard.

You don't want to put down what I think this guy is talking about if you let your birds free range. I can't remember the name of it, but I know it is not good for any animals. Try white vinegar, full strength. If this doesn't work, try bleach. Keep animals off of it for at least 24 hours, as long as it is sunny. Sun will burn off chlorine, and it will be safe.

It was balan herbicides is that what u thought it was. On my chcickens they arent free range but if hers are she should then

Personaly I would feel bad if anything happen to anyones chickens. So I looked up what I could and I cant find any infro on it so I will just say dont any one use it. Cause I dont know what it would do. It just says it kills broadleaf plants. So I am kinda sorry I said any thing

Best to go natural if possible. I know bleach is not natural, but if you let it sit in the sun for a while, it burns off, leaving it clean. Yes it will kill any thing around it, so use it specifically on what you want to get rid of.

Right if my chickens were free range I would but I cant I have game roo and well they tend to wann kick but when they are loose lol so I cant let them out. But I would if I could.

Game Roos can be nasty. I know game hens, when broody are a handful as well. Good luck with those guys!

I just want to add, we have used the vinegar, it worked well here, but I can't promise it will work on all stickers, grass burrs, and such. All we used it on was the grass burrs (Bahia), and worked very well. Gonna have to do it again, my mower took a crap, and haven't been able to mow for a while. I let my ladies free range, supervised, everyday, and if they are in the yard, we can only see their little heads, for the grass. LOL

I haven't had to mow my lawn since the geese started free ranging. They keep it pretty short.
