Had them for about 1-2 years. And ameraucanas didn't do bad either but now fallowing same foot steps. It's rediculous idk what else to do

Well, today we had to put down 1 of our 6 cats. ShadowKat was very weak and lethargic. She also didn't try to get away when I approached and even started meowing like she was asking for help, which is NOT how she usually acted. She was a wild, feral cat when we got her 2 years ago. She occasionally let me approached and pet her, but only on her terms, and if you tried to force it she would bite and claw you up. I suspected she had feline leukemia, had her tested for and she was negative for that and feline AIDS. ShadowKat was extremely dehydrated, and her temp was way too low for a cat. The vet could only find 1 kidney when he examined her, and that kidney was tiny but had a large mass that was 3 times the size of her kidney. the vet concluded that she most likely had kidney cancer and so we euthanized her at 2:25 PM today. She is buried here at home where she belongs, in my rose garden. This picture was taken just before we euthanized her.

It kind of blind sided us. ShadowKat wasn't real tame, I could sometimes go a month without her letting me close enough to check her health, but she seemed OK. She did her thing and stopped by morning and evening to eat, like clockwork. But as soon as she saw me this morning she started meowing to me, and she just looked like something was very wrong. I know it gets easier, I have put down enough dogs and cats to know, but it never fully goes away.

So I had plans from a week ago to pick up a 2 month old Black Orp rooster today. Despite what happened with ShadowKat today I picked him up. He seems to either think he is water fowl, and he has never seen any before coming to my house, or he likes to swim. Ever seen a swimming rooster? This was a first for me.

Sorry for the nasty water. That's what happens when 8 geese and 7 ducks get through with 3 kiddie pools at the end of the day. They all get cleaned and refilled daily.
