Does anyone on here have game chickens
If so my babies are two months old and I habe about 5 roo that have started fighting they are to young for this behavior and I am not sure if it is a pecking order or just pure fighting thing but they are getting rough enough to cause injuries and I am not sure if I need to go a head a seperate them all or just let them decide the pecking order. Anyone else have this problem with game chickens.

My neighbor has game chickens, I don't. But this aggressive behavior is normal and will continue to get worse. My neighbor's adult Roo kills his own cockerels quickly when they challenge him, and killed an adult RIR rooster that broke loose in the his yard. I would separate them soon to prevent injuries and death. Game cocks fight, that's why some people breed them is to fight them, sick as that is.

My neighbor's Roo has been eyeing my pullets and wanting to fight my rooster. I have chased him off many times. I now have a BB gun loaded with bird shot with his name on it. All my chickens have clipped wings so they can't get over the fence, but those game chickens can jump my parents 5 foot fence no problem, my 3 foot fence is no problem for them. I find the game hens and their chicks in my yard every morning and have had my ladies go after them. Right now my flock outnumbers my neighbor's, so the intruding hens run. That rooster comes in my yard, after my ladies or to fight my roosters, he dies.

Yeah I know it is normal for grown roosters to fight but everything I read and the time before the roo didnt fight till he was six months so this time it caught me off gaurd. I was thinking I had a few more months before I had to worry about this guess I was wrong. My other three grown roo cant even get out off coop without thinking they gotta go fight through pen door so they aint allowed out but these babies are still so young just two months old just to young I figured

game and most breeds of bantam chickens are very aggressive believe me i helped raise a bunch of them with my grams the roosters had to be thined every late fall as they are known chick killers they are most aggressive in the spring. though i have seen them start fighting as soon as 10 weeks and my bantams kick each others butts daily and i have had them since they where 7 weeks old they are now 16 weeks old so go figure.

yeah i only keep any type of baby poultry inside for a maximum of one week because of three things #1. The only safe place to brood in my house is my room #2. chicks, ducklings etc all need to eat every few hours and are very vocal when doing so. #3. I found out i enjoy sleeping at night

luckily we have day rooms so I am sleeping in them. But I have not heard a chick this loud before. They are blue andalusian mixes. Is this why?
