I dont have room for alot of ducks, I hatch or let them hatch, and sell.. these babies need a responsible home though. These ducklings can not be bred together.. the owners have to remove eggs and keep them from having babies from their blood.. if they want to switch out eggs once they are done laying the eggs then thats fine, but they cant let them produce their own offspring. They are too close related in the bloodline

Hmmm... How old are they and do you know their sex?

Red is hanging in there, though I have no idea how.

She hasn't (to my knowledge) voluntarily eaten anything since Saturday...and doesn't eat very much of anything I put in her mouth for her. She drinks very little, and has abandoned her medicated water. She is clearly dehydrated & undoubtedly hungry, but she doesn't even bat an eyelash at meal-worms, tuna (which I recently found out makes chickens go ape), cold grapes or fruit-n-nut mix...and she wants nothing to do with her feed, soaked in water with banana, or plain. She spends most of her time in the shade, laying down and napping. When she naps, she lays forward on her chest & sticks her rear-end in the air. Her breathing is still raspy, but there don't appear to be any other symptoms (not related to her lack of food & water). I have no idea if anything I'm doing is working. She's been ill since Friday afternoon. Perhaps it's time to make an unfortunate decision once and for all.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to suggest anything else and it sounds like you've tried anything else I could think of. I know how frustrating and discouraging it can be when you do all you can but it doesn't help. If a genie gave me just one wish I think it would be to communicate with animals! Then they could help us help them more.
Sorry you are faced with having to make that decision!

I'd love to be able to communicate with Red and find out what's wrong and what I need to do. She has been ill since Friday afternoon & hasn't really deteriorated or gotten any better. At what point do we decide our efforts aren't going to work? You know?

Tiediemommy, how's Red?

My babies from Ideal came in and all I have to say is: WOW!
Received them in 24 hours, they are all active and chirpy and beautiful! Such a difference from last time. I love my Meyers babies, but I think Ideal is the way to go for me, besides local pickup.
Oh! And the post office ACTUALLY called instead of dropping them off on my porch. Husband said its because he begged them lol.
