Tiediemommy, how's Red?

My babies from Ideal came in and all I have to say is: WOW!
Received them in 24 hours, they are all active and chirpy and beautiful! Such a difference from last time. I love my Meyers babies, but I think Ideal is the way to go for me, besides local pickup.
Oh! And the post office ACTUALLY called instead of dropping them off on my porch. Husband said its because he begged them lol.

Have you ever tried Murray McMurray? I have gotten chicks from them twice and they have been excellent both time. They have a nice website too. www.mcmurrayhatchery.com

R.I.P. Red. We didn't have you long, but you'll be in our hearts forever. I am sorry we couldn't make you well, but I am glad you are no longer suffering. We miss you already.

I've heard good things about them, but they're a bit further. I also like not having to do the usual 25 chick minimum. I'm in suburbs so I'm only "allowed" 12. I could sneak in a few more..but not double lol

I've lost 3 of my girls that I raised from chicks this month.
You gave her a good, full life!!!

What is the Difference Between "Barred Rock", "Plymouth Rock", and "Barred Plymouth Rock"?
Barred Rock and Barred Plymouth Rock are the same.
The varieties are just colors, like Orpingtons. You can have black, buff, white, lavender, cuckoo, etc.

With Plymouth Rocks they come in White, Buff, Barred, etc. They're all dual purpose, brown layers

Don't you just love it when they "allow" you to have something? I know what you mean, I was in Plano 23 years and you had to have a permit for everything! Never again! We are out in the sticks this time.
