Can last for several months. Which is a pain in the butt.

My experience is about 6 weeks. Two of mine just went through it.

I need to figure out how to keep my girls off my porch. They have been free roaming from the beginning so I think it would be hard for me to keep them fenced up in their chicken yard, but I am really tired of them preening and pooping on my porch. Any ideas?

On second thought, I am going to fence them in. I don't have to worry about Brooklyn (newest granddaughter) being exposed to chicken poop. I am not really great at keeping my floor mopped and I am sure poop traces track in on shoes from walking in the yard. The baby will be on that floor in a few months.
