Texas

It is a new area for me too.  I have seen some elaborate systems.  But, I am not a complicated person.  I am thinking four IBC's running independent of each other.  Crappie ought to do well in there.  I would like to do some white bass, but I don't see them thriving.  I don't eat catfish, otherwise that would be the ideal fish for the system.
Cool. I have a small Shelfponics setup that is loosely based off of Gardenpool.com 's design but it's not running because I found it isn't much good for anything but starting seeds since the beds are so shallow. I've got bluegill in it. I plan on doing ibc's in a greenhouse later, building one at a time. That's why I was interested.

That is my thought as well. I have a garden plot, and putting four IBC's in it. I would need to find some food grade IBC's. There is a place between Cleveland and Conroe that sells used ones. I would probably get them there. There are a lot of good youtube videos on the topic. I am thinking solar power with deep cell batteries would be the way to go. You could keep it running without having to run wire across the yard. I like the concept of not growing grass and weeds in the garden, fighting ants and squirrels. Bluegill make a nice pan fish.

love to see those ideas!
I plan on it. First, I need to finish the barn/coop I am making then it is off to make momma happy with her green house. Because, we all know if momma isn't happy, nobody is happy.
