Cool, please post pics as they get older.

When I have some free time I will take my tablet in someplace I can use WiFi so I can post pics.

Dammit Dammit Dammit.
Sun is setting later these days. I messed up and hadn't reset automatic coop door. Princess did not get in and I did not check. Heard her scream at 10:15. Nothing I could do at that point but pray and feel guilty

. It was fast. Well I'm praying it was.
RIP my sweet hen you will be missed.

Oh no! Sorry for your loss.

Neighbors' dogs (and hawks) are the reason mine don't get to free-range unless I'm outside with them. Hens are in a coop with full-time access to a run, and the first round of chicks this year are in an open-air coop. Going to be building a larger run for them all for days I am home but not outside. Knew we were going to have issues with them wandering here, biggest scare came about a month after getting the hens here. Woke up to their alarm calls and dogs barking, had 5 or 6 hunting dogs surrounding the coop. Scared them off, haven't seen them again since, that was about 6 months ago. So far have not had a predator get into the coops.
