Hatching
Hello fellow Texans I'm in the Cedar Creek area. New to chickens. Having fun learning more about them. Is there any breeders around here were I can get some more and some turkeys and geese's?

Cute chicks! So many of them! If you don't focus too hard on the picture, it kinda looks like a bunch of tarantulas huddled together (due to the markings on their backs) xD My fiance thought so too, he was like "Are those spiders?".

TWO CHICKS ENTER, ONE CHICK LEAVES!!!My stationary chicken coop/run looks like The Thunderdome today because I integrated my tractored chickens into it last night. I had to free up my tractor to make room for my 5 week old Icelandics! It's always so funny to see new chicks get onto soil for the first time.
Hey, I'm new here and new to chickens. It was suggested that I check out this thread in the new members section. My fiancé and I live in Temple, TX (between Austin and Waco). We have our first little flock that includes a Red hen (not sure if Production or Rhode Island), a Black Australorpe pullet, a Barred rock pullet, and a Silver Laced Wyandotte pullet. We also have a Chihuahua, Basset Hound and German Shepherd mix. I'm excited about this new adventure and can't wait to get many more chickens in the future.[/quote. Howdy neighbor, Welcome to the BYC! I live just 35 miles from you in Gatesville so if you need any help or advice give me a holler! Good luck with your flock!!!
