My stationary chicken coop/run looks like The Thunderdome today because I integrated my tractored chickens into it last night. I had to free up my tractor to make room for my 5 week old Icelandics! It's always so funny to see new chicks get onto soil for the first time.

In addition to new chicks from Ideal hatchery, am also building new enclosed pen. And momma hen came off nest this morning with 7 new babies b4 we started construction. So got a full plate today.

I live in the Panhandle between Lubbock & Amarillo and currently have a white Silkie Rooster that I really need to rehome. Even though he is not real big, he takes after my Black Copper Marin Rooster who is 2 times bigger. Any suggestions or anyone needing a Silkie Roo

Hey, I'm new here and new to chickens. It was suggested that I check out this thread in the new members section. My fiancé and I live in Temple, TX (between Austin and Waco). We have our first little flock that includes a Red hen (not sure if Production or Rhode Island), a Black Australorpe pullet, a Barred rock pullet, and a Silver Laced Wyandotte pullet. We also have a Chihuahua, Basset Hound and German Shepherd mix. I'm excited about this new adventure and can't wait to get many more chickens in the future.[/quote. Howdy neighbor, Welcome to the BYC! I live just 35 miles from you in Gatesville so if you need any help or advice give me a holler! Good luck with your flock!!!
