Texas

Yeah, it's been down sized to tropical storm but I still have hurricane winds here.
Here's some pics, including Harvey, the pheasant I saved from near death, this morning when I got home from work. Was muddy, and limp. Put him in my hatcher(home made Great Big) removed the hatching trays and laid him inside. Few hours later, here he is:

Hope everybody's safe and secure. This too will pass!

What, it will turn directions? I haven't been watching the weather.
After it hangs around ya'll a few days it heads up weastern Lousiana, sending feeder bands toward the eastern side, i.e., New Orleans where some idiot thought it was a good idea to do pump maintance on 3/5's of the turbines that power our pumps. So two weeks ago we had homes flooded in New Orleans from a large rain event. Our home was ok, chicken yard was a swamp (one hen had to be found and rescued out of a lemon tree) and we lost 1 of 3 cars. This is predicted to be worst so far, who knows as time passes? But we are preparing regardless. First time in 60 years that I know of that New Orleans is handing out fill-it-yourself sand bags. LOL

Yeah, can you say "dumb cluck" in the middle of hurricane season 12 years after Katrina. Gotta keep a sense of humor or the PTSD kicks in.
