Thank you! And yes, the two little buggers have grown on me over the past day we've had them! I've been doing a ton of reading and will check out the duck forums :)
I might even post some pics tomorrow!

ETA: I have two sources of water in the brooder.

Excellent.

Oh and ducks grow fast! Be prepared!! :D
And they can shoot poop 3 feet up a wall by 2 weeks old. Don't ask how I know. :gig

As promised, here are a few pics. Anyone want to guess breeds on the two ducks and the brown chick? I'm thinking welsummer or easter egger. The second chick is a barred rock from a straight run. We're hoping for a roo.

I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday afternoon with family, friends or your chicken. It's a lovely overcast with some breaks in the clouds day for us here but yesterdays winds have settled down for us in the RGV. I'm just sitting on the porch watching the flock from my rocker and thought I'd share the experience here. The Orange blossoms and Mesquite trees are in full bloom and their fragrance is thick in the air. I hope you are enjoying your day as much as I am. Best wishes!
