Texas

Hey there, just found the Texas thread. I am in Brenham, moved here from SoCAL a little over 2 years ago and have 7 hens and a rooster (thanks to grandson's pre-school hatching). Very much a newbie at everything Texas but love it here!
Welcome fellow So-Cal transplant.....
And also to your fellow "newbie status" for chicks too....

So some delayed pics of our 1st snow of 2020 here in north Texas from last week. IMG_20200111_091642882.jpg
(That's Bohdi, one of our rescued OES, he doesn't wag - he shimmies!) IMG_20200111_091702053.jpg
The explorers are milling about... IMG_20200111_102133146.jpg
THAT Look on his face!!!!! Priceless.
(Care to caption this?) IMG_20200111_102144695.jpg
She's not quite sure what to think of the snow clinging to her foot like mud, just colder yet.... (Giggles) IMG_20200111_102442035.jpg
One of the funnier action shots.

I don't miss the white stuff at all. I use to live North of McKinney. We use to get snow and ice every year, sometimes more snow than ice.

Hey! I feel like I've been neglecting you all. I'm missing @AllenK RGV 's ramblings and @Kiki & @007Sean just generally good naturedness.
It's been a busy new year. Business is good and we have 2 more grandchildren on the way. That will make 11!!!
I've adopted a kitten (& apparently her extended family) and the chicken flock just keeps growing. I'm still considering quail too @Kiki . :D
I hope you are all having a very happy 2020 thus far.
