I first started having trouble with my right leg at 13, shattered the ankle, riding bulls. It’s impossible to recover all that is lost and only by therapy or regular exercise is it possible to recover any of it really. My legs are still much weaker than before surgeries. I’m just now walking quite a bit without a cane. It’s not recommended.
Later on at 30 got 5 bullet holes put in it during George H. Bushes 100 hour "fun" run in Kuwait!
, then when 50, I broke my tibia and fibia in an motorcycle accident,
and at 58 broke my hip twice! Each time had to learn how to walk again. Each time the doc told me I probably wouldn't walk again, and if I did I'd have a severe limp or be in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. I have proven them wrong in all cases, except this last time...I'm still limping, a little!
