Texas

The pattern your referring to is is a northerly flow along the Baja coast? I'm not sure if it's a weak La Niña or El Niño that was forecast for this summer.....
Eastern Pacific and Atlantic both. OMG I was just dozing off in bed and had a palmetto roach run across my leg and hairy hobbit foot. I was freaked out thinking it was my turn for a scorpion sting as I was verbalizing about them earlier and one lives in my mailbox now. Wide awake now it works faster than coffee. My wife was nice and set in fresh sheets and mopped the room earlier, good luck getting me to do that.

Oh they are talking about a La Nina year.

Late edit DW went in and caught the offending bug. I'll do scorpions, snakes and spiders just kinda a wimp with large roaches that fly. Some chicken will be happy tomorrow.

Well crud the models are looking more like Invest 97(projected to be a weak Cat 1)is hitting Texas now. Invest 98 became TD13 but is looking like a Florida thing(Cat1-2 with outliers placing it in TX). Oh well was getting low on toilet paper and need to go to the store for that anyway. @Kiki @RUNuts So finally the house has cooled down enough of the days heat I can get off to bed without sweating like a pig.

If you have coastal interests watch https://spaghettimodels.com/ for the next few days.

Anyone here know a good Texas Silkie or frizzle breeder? Preferably within an hour drive of Katy TX
I did a craigslist Houston search and you have loads of silkie options- Two in Conroe. As far as good I cannot offer any real input there. You will need to be the judge on that. Mine are mutts mixed with bantam cochin but I am at least 6 hours away(drive towards San Antonio then turn left plus 4 more hours drive and stop before entering Mexico). We get loads of frizzles as that is what it takes hybridization with a hard feathered bird(my understanding). I do have 7 new chicks I do not want who are about 2 weeks old(so free), but not trusting the post office for them at this time. Heck I'd be willing to do a Kingsville handoff of them if you expressed interest. They are muffed and bearded. Mama hen there has had her facial hair all trimmed away for protection and sightedness overwinter as we live in a hawk migration pathway.
