Ummmmm
I am wondering what the hell you are saying.
Is this English?
What is fizzelewhatever, mexicoke?
I HAVE heard of Zoya-Mexican brand of foods (I think).
Help?
Please unconfuse me.
You would need to just watch "you Don't mess with the Zohan" to get my reference. So I was feeling quite plagiarized tonight after I saw this on netflix as I was very specific about lighting wavelengths I used to capture my image when I saw this:

My 3 year old image is this they fluoresce the same and in the same wavelength of light. I'll get over it. I was just very specific in my descriptions of how I captured the image and under what lighting conditions. Image from May 1st 2017.

Ok me taking the tug toy away from the dog was not okay. He came up all goofy tonight and measured me for bite size. I thought it was innocent enough until I reflected on the interaction. All of my arm bits fit into his 8 inch gape. I do not expect problems but dang that Mal is a thinker and problem solver. Plus he waited all day to measure me. Needless to say he wins any future toy contest.

Beautiful pic

Chilly 29 this morning. Sat outside for first cup 🥤 of ☕ then decided inside is good. Supposed to be a nice day (partner grumbling about cold), high today 60. Perfect for me, under 80 and partner complains its cold.
My birds are loving the chill. Even though they are cornish x, they run, hunt bugs, and are very active. 5 months old and over 10 lbs. Will I see eggs soon? They do not roost, spend their time with both feet firmly on the ground.
Life is good

Coldest before dawn, I've always heard.
Dropped to 27 @ 7 a.m.
Birds fed. I screwed up and forgot to refrigerate the leftover beef stew last nite.
Not much left-a couple cupful. So I heated enuff to melt the grease added oatmeal and the girls got a good breakfast (they don't seem to care for onions).
My cat who is now gone, loved onions. I would feed him chili, he would pick out all the onions, eat them first, then finish the chili. He spoiled me to all other cats. I miss him daily.
There will never be a replacement for him.

If they aren't laying now, you won't see eggs until the daylight is longer or if you put lights in the coop. Both pullets from last spring are laying little golf ball sized eggs. Good for breakfast. A couple out of the other dozen will deign to lay an egg every other day. I am good to make a dozen a week with full sized eggs.

I'm eating pullet eggs and quail eggs for breakfast. Yes, the quail have light on them. Solar lights, so all this rain has dipped egg production.

Why are you keeping CX as layers? How many are doing good? The information I've read is you will be doing good if they live the summer. Best wishes.

My flock was killed by neighbors dog, a week after my partner fell and was injured. Early sept.
Usually I free range, that day, I didn't. I was focused on partner, left birds in run. Dog broke through and killed.
Girl doing 25 meat birds for fair brought me some. She butchered 21, I got 4. Repaired run. 1 inch plywood on 2 sides. Rntire run has 1/2 hardware cloth. Now it has 2x4 welded wire completely around it.
I know cc do not live long, and all issues associated with them. I am playing, let these birds sooth me til spring when I'll get layers.
I am limiting feed, they are exercising and look good.

Apologies if I opened a wound.

Enjoy the chickens. They are wonderful. Craiglist had several people offering free chickens last I looked. Your next trip to the big city may mean you get some new birds too. They are wonderful, aren't they?

DD#2 comes home from college to visit the chickens. She is quite enthralled. Already has plans for her own coop and recruited me to plan, build and stock it. So exciting!
