Texas

When your mailbox is 5 miles away nothing is close ;)
But, that was a choice you made. Trade off for this and that... Case in point, we have a mind numbingly fast 3.5MB/s DSL monopoly where we live for the last decade.... Choices we all make. :lau

So I was thinking back to my Teutonic comments.

DW and I watched something from one of the Nordic countries tonight. It is apparently instilled into ladies from a young age how powerful they are. I will just say yes it is never good to be on the bad side of that. Been there done that and survived I am sure I deserved the beating. Not trying to suggest I have an abusive spouse just I live with a lady you do not cross or muck around with. She will come out and kick your arsch. Respect.

Oh I’m not complaining. I could stand to be even farther out in the boonies ;) Its great how much you can adapt and want for less quite painlessly when you realize you’ve chosen quality over quantity in life. My initial comment about being far from everything is really just about the adventure that awaits service people (bee specialists in this case) who have to venture to and from the farm. It may seem like just 5 miles for us but that’s all unpaved through a forest with no reception and well just to the mailbox....there’s even more unpaved treachery and nature to go through beyond that. Thank heaven for Texans being real Texan to strangers in need though. Nicest, most genuinely magnanimously helpful humans around. Got much love for y’all.

Yeah, all that crap about country, duty didn't mean squat to me, I was more concerned about the men I had charge of and getting them back home!....alive!
Like my hubby. Some do it for medals. Some do it knowing the medals aren’t coming to them but that terrorist kingpin had to get got either way with the troops in his crosshairs.

My vet is a beautifully humble genius like that. You probably are too. I hope you get valued for that wonderful quality. I try to with him every day. Especially since the VA skipped his eval & totally dropped his rating due to covid. Makes my blood boil. I mean really. Nothing just goes away and he’s so selfless, he doesn’t want to clog appeals process for others. It keeps me up at night, aside from this intense rain.

Just happy I am done with it all now. It is somebodies else job. Making a vegan chicken pattie early morning grilled cheese with pickles and dijon. I had to skip the pickles part but managed the dijon. I am totally loved by 5 dogs and an uncountable number of chicken so it worked out right for me.

Just for the record had violent dreams again involving hammers. I hate those stupid dreams. In my case the hammer was German and antique. do own one but not really certain which storage shed it is in.

The best reward is having a Mexicocoke in the morning.

Ok
Been raining all night.
THANK YOU Thank you thank you thanks
Went looking for the unused rain gear
Got the mud boots, easy to find, in mudroom (duh)

Now slicker, unused since January, easy to find, hanging in garage on a hook

Slight issue....
Slicker had 3-4 spiders in it (brown recluse) and a BIRD NEST 🤔.
I am spooked to wear it because of the spiders. Thought about tossing it in dryer for a few minutes 🤔 no heat to tumble, or should I just use it and hope for the best? Or grab the umbrella?
Any way I do it, I get wet this a.m
