Hello to you Wink. I am not sure about the chicken ordinances in my town but after both neighbors having chickens for years, I decided to get some anyway. I do have a pot-belly pig that stays in a pen, everyone knows I have her and they haven't said anything. She is 12 years old so they have had a long time to do something about it. I don't blame you for wanting them. I love mine and will fight to keep them if necessary.

Hi, there! I live up in Deep East Texas, north of Nacogdoches by about 25 miles. Is this thread just for chicken lovers or is it for those of us raising ducks (and soon geese), too? If there is another thread for Texas duck raisers, please let me know. Thanks!

I don't know about the Texas duck owner list either. Let us know if anyone finds it. If not we can make one. I own an adult mallard drake and just got 3 female rowan.

2 Speckled Sussex chicks hatched yesterday! 2 more starting today & at least 7 of the Barred Rocks starting :yiipchick They weren't supposed to hatch until tomorrow We have 24 BR's 6 Speckled Sussex & 4 Silver Sussex in the bator

It's just a BYC thread for Texans. Not just for chicken folks, ducks, etc. welcome too! Many folks raise ducks and chickens and all sorts of stuff. We even talk about not-bird things sometimes.
