I am gonna put it against a wall, 1/2 solid (top) and the bottom wire (1/4 hardware, 1x2 Welded wire then chicken wire).

That should work fine as the back for it. No rain can get in there right? My nest boxes are on my half wall, the bottom is solid and the top 1/4 inch HWC and I have a large awning and have never had any issues with rain coming in.

I’m going to be there the 6th through the 10th but I don’t get in till late on the 6th. I’m flying into DFW and then my hotel is near I think it’s Addison Galleria ? And I’m going to a show on the 7th across town (didn’t realize it was far at the time) but I don’t have any plans the rest of the time haha

Instead of putting it on the back 1/2 wall I put it on the the right side (full wall). I had 2 8 ft roost, that made it inconvenient to clean, I cut 1 roost to 4 ft. Game changer! Now, to clean it all out. My haul around cart has a flat so gotta sir tires before i clean. Burn ban been lifted, so I can burn my brush pile and "may" rake pine needles and burn. Too much to do now that its cool enough to ho outside. Still getting rain, woo hoo! Need more

Before daylight I aired wagon tires, gathered rake scoop etc.....herded chickens into run and closed gate so I could clean unbothered
Now sun barely peeking, I have coop cleaned out, wagon full to mulch flower beds, opened gate to coop, gonna herd birds to coop, close gate, clean waterers etc..and it's light enuff for pics
