Is everyone OK? That was some wicked weather last nite. I didn't get much sleep, going back to bed.......

Yes, dear. We are fine. Lot's of water. The dogs were upset. Backyard flooded (no worse than usual) but not up to the door.

The frogs are happy. The chickens are singing the song of our kind. And Crazy Lady is playing the Queen of Hearts.

All good here just had to take the truck to work instead of the mustang. Because of the water that was dumped in less than 10mins.

The lighting was pretty covering most of the sky when it wasn't striking the ground much to close for comfort.

Besides lacking in the sleep department, all is well. Ditches had just dried up enough to mow and now they're full again.

Well, my drain worked. No water in coop. 4 inches total, 3 in less than an hour. Hail, wind, rain, lightning, power out for over an hour.

Last July I got babies from tsc. 1 is slightly different from the rest. I got blue Australorp and blue andalusian. This 1 is andulusian, based on ear color. Her comb and feathering is different. What happened?

It just looks like normal variation in the blue coloring to me. I personally like the darker blues best.

I don't soak mine. I've found that it makes it harder to trim the feathers. I just grab a towel, wrap them up and put them on my lap. I cut pretty close.
If they are really nasty, you may need to soak them afterwards. Also, it's a good idea to have paper towels and warm water, in case your scissors get nasty. Baby oil helps with the really bad stuck on poop.

I’m doing it for fertility reasons and not poop issues thankfully. They are pretty clean.

Storm wasn’t bad here. It went north and south of us.
