Texas

Yeah, something like that. :lau

Joking aside, I'm glad one didn't come to visit. They will mess you up.
Me too. It was not a fun afternoon. It was informative though. Turns out I can fit 4 cats in 2 cat carriers if needed. The cats are also a lot quieter if they're not alone in the carrier.

I'm really grateful the storm broke up and didn't actually turn into a tornado. I am literally blessed.

Also, got more blessings this morning. Despite that they hatched early due to low humidity, I think these little guys are gonna make it.

does the chicken raise the ducks? I've been adopted by a stray drake after last month's thunderstorm scared him out of someone's pond. I've looked but no one is claiming him.

Which is getting me to thinking. Dangerous, right there.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so please let me know:

I've just become a new mom last week and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm looking to see if anyone in the San Antonio area would be willing to give a good home to 3 layer hens. They are all between 1-2 years old, good layers and healthy. One Rhode Island Red, one Barred Rock Plymouth, and one Black Beauty - all brown eggs.

Please let me know if you are interested or would like more info.

Lol. Duck math is just as real as chicken math.

As far as I know, the chicken will raise them, until the ducks start playing in the pond. This is my first time around with this, and my hen is doing all the momma hen things... But it's been all of 16 hours since they hatched

I'm not in your area, but I wanted to congratulate you on the new baby!
I hope you find a good home for your hens very quickly.

Aggravating.

Did the coop count and came up a little pullet short. The dogs found her this morning before I did. Down one pullet. Time to clip wings. This is the second one to go over the fence into the dog yard this month.

No clue when she went over or where she slept last night. Oh, the joys of having a chicken killing dog. She's such a goof ball and has no clue why I'm upset. Yes, this is my fault.

Clip wings. No telling when one will decide to go over a fence.
