This is my new boy, Beasley. We adopted him a couple of weeks ago from a local rescue.

He is a bulldog & boxer mix. He is the perfect size. He weighs less than 50lbs and still has the fabulous boxer personality.

Went out to put Aquilo and the girls to bed, and they had already gone in!

One day in a row, so not a pattern yet, but one can dream. I also happened to give them some pumpkin as a treat today. Coincidence?

Congrats, JD on your new family member. What a handsome boy! Good on you for adopting a rescue pup! We are slowly thinking about adopting another rescue after having very recently lost Bentley, our beloved yellow lab mix, to malignant bone cancer . We're partial to the lab x's but are open to most large doggies as long as they can show perfect manners towards our indoor-only cats. Have fun with your boy!

Y'all watch for rattlesnakes around your pets!
Had an emergency last night with my German Shepherd, she got bit by one, we got her to an ER within an hour and she's doing well. She wasn't that bad off thankfully. She is home now!

I'm so sorry about Bentley.
We lost our oldest boxer, Ruby, last Christmas to a tumor. Our other boxer was missing her. He is almost 8 now but since getting a new friend he is much more active.
We have lost 3 boxers and a dachshund mix in the last 10 years, plus a couple of "granddogs". Its rough to lose them.

Had an emergency last night with my German Shepherd, she got bit by one, we got her to an ER within an hour and she's doing well. She wasn't that bad off thankfully. She is home now!

I'm glad she is doing well. We have been lucky. We have a lot of water moccasins and rat snakes. We occasionally see a rattler. One of our neighbors had a gator in his pond this summer. I hope we don't have that experience here. Lol. We had one once before but it was at a different location.

My boss's jack Russell got boy by a copperhead last year and fully recovered. Scares the crap outta me with my heeler that wants to destroy everything

That’s amazing your boss’s dog made it! It’s worse on smaller dogs.
You could get snake avoidance training for certain snakes, I’m sure it does help. So you could try that. It’s not pricey at all from what I’ve seen so far. I am probably going to take our dog for it sometime so we’ll see how it goes!
