I am going to pm to get in touch! I would love yo get to know some close backyard chicken keepers. Exchange stories and maybe chickens in the future. I plan to hatch some of my own babies out and I know I cannot keep them all. Haha.

im the same way! from this thread alone i have met several people that i literally drive by on my way to and from work every day! Im not very good at searching for specific posts, but if Little Wing signs on and sees this im sure he wouldnt mind reposting the link to his interactive map!

He set up a google map where everyone can go in and put a marker where they are and can see who all is around you! very nifty tool...just ashame they blocked it from my work computer...

Well, my husband doesn't know it, yet...but, along with the Guineas we got him the other day:





I'm picking up three Mini Rex rabbits, today. One doe and two bucks - which means I'm going to need to get three more unrelated and two more hutches...but, that's beside the point...LOL He's been saying he wants rabbits for a while, now - so, I intend to surprise him with some this afternoon. Here they are:




Not bad for $15. And, we already have a place to keep them until the main run is completed. At which point they will share the run with the chickens (so long as they can keep their aggression under control).

amg!!! That is a turkey poult right? I want a turkey or two. DH wants them for dinner tho!

I don't mind tho as long as he lets me keep a tom and a hen as a pet for breeding stock for future dinners. I have had bad experience with rabbits and really don't want to get one again. Got him from a traders village and he was M.E.A.N. No matter how much time I spent with him he tried to bite and scratch my feet. He was really handsome tho. Was black and white, had stripes on one side and spots on the other.

On another note, my housemate has a cool flemish giant doe she just sent to the breeder. They are cool rabbits. If I ever consider a rabbit again, I would do flemish giants.

not 100%. was playing with it on my phone and im not even in my right place...apparently people think its funny to move my marker around...i think its chicklettesarge

. I will play with it more when i get home and hopefully be able to update everyone, unless someone else can explain it sooner!

A lot of people haven't even put themselves on the map. I remember several weeks ago there was someone on here from Alvarado. Maybe they'll show up again soon.
